DEADLINE EXTENSION TO OCTOBER 12TH
In keeping with the theme and our ongoing
commitment to support the development and
mentoring of new leaders, the Newark Chapter
of the NAACP will also sponsor the first NAACP
Hip Hop Competition in New Jersey. Thus,
closing the gap between generations as our
new leaders familiarize themselves with our
organization and our members see their history
interpreted by tomorrow’s leaders.
During the competition, youth throughout the
Greater Newark Metropolitan Area will use the
history of the NAACP to convert it into the
language of Hip Hop. The winner of the
competition will perform during the event.
Contest details--
You must register online to enter
Submissions must be received by October 12th
Auditions will be held on October 16th and 17th
5:00-7:00pm in the
Dasher Center at
Essex County College
303 University Avenue
Newark, NJ 07102
Finalists will perform on October 24th at 6:00pm
Winner(s) will perform during the event
